This week is our Spring Break for the kids. We aren’t going anywhere but instead enjoying a staycation, right here at home.
Whenever I know the kids will be home for a break I do try to think of local places we can go but also projects we can do at home. My youngest, Alex, isn’t completely into doing arty projects but my oldest, Sean, LOVES it. Alex will start off interested and usually decide to go play with his action figures instead about 10 minutes into a project, but Sean really likes his arts and craft time with Mom ::Smile:: I enjoy it too since, of course, I love doing anything creative and it’s nice to create fun memories with my kids.
One project we are going to work on is Alex’s thank you cards from his 5th birthday party. I will post later how that goes. (wish me luck). In the meantime, enjoy these awesome DIY project kits I found on Etsy.
These project kits would be great to pick up with summer vacation just around the corner or if you’re looking for a fun activity to do at your child’s birthday party.
Besides coloring, needlework was the first craft I remember learning, in the 5th grade. Then after that I learned cross-stitch; those are very fond memories I have as a child and hopefully you and your kids can create some creative memories with these DIY projects.
