I’m so excited for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend. Yes I’m a royalty junkie.
I’m not sure why I’ve always been fascinated by the royal family. I remember as a little girl sitting in front of my grandmother’s TV when a prince married his princess Diana. I was not a girlie-girl growing up but I was in awe of watching the royal wedding.

After the fairy tales were found not to be actual fairy tales, in the 90′s, I thought the royal family was a “stupid” idea, that’s it’s not realistic any longer.
I remember the day that beautiful princess died, when she was just restarting her life.
Then last year watching her son getting married to a “commoner,” I feel back in love with the tradition of the British Royalty.
I recently read a great biography about Queen Elizabeth called Elizabeth The Queen by Sally Bedell Smith which really opened my eyes to what an amazing leader Queen Elizabeth has been and how much she has done and been a part of. She was not suppose to be Queen; she became a Queen when she was 25 in a world ruled by men. Now 60 years later she deserves to be celebrated.
